Bring your films and channels
List licensed films in the Pops Streams Library and earn per play, or connect your channel so fans can watch your videos together — with your own player and ads.
This walkthrough describes Pops Streams as designed. Steps marked “Planned” are being built and will switch to “Available now” as each phase ships.
- 1
Apply as a contributor
Available nowChoose Contributor/Creator when you sign up and add your company or channel with proof you own it. After admin review you sign in to the contributor console with your work email, password and a one-time code.
- Listing is free.
- 2
Create a listing
Available nowPaste a YouTube, Vimeo or Internet Archive link, pick a category, link your licence document and choose the territory (Canada or Worldwide). Every listing is reviewed by an admin before it goes live in the Library. Direct file uploads arrive once storage is connected.
- 3
Connect your channels
Available nowClaim your YouTube, Twitch or Vimeo channel in the Channels tab and an admin verifies it's yours. Signing in with the platform and importing your public videos switch on once Pops Streams has each platform's API keys. When they do, each video is checked:
- Embedding turned off by the owner → shown as an outbound link only.
- Private videos → skipped.
- You choose whether videos can play in group watches, auto-import new public videos, carry trivia packs, and be used in the Study Hall.
- 4
Add trivia packs
Available nowWrite question packs for catalogue titles in the Trivia packs tab. Once an admin approves a pack, hosts can pick it when they set up a group watch; questions fire at natural pauses and hosts can edit them.
- 5
Track plays and get paid
Available nowThe analytics tab shows plays by week and by title. The Payouts tab lists each month's Library share, classroom share and total; a month is closed early the next month and paid by e-transfer or cheque.
- Library titles earn $0.10–$0.15 per play, paid monthly.
- Embedded channels keep their own player and ads.
- Titles used in classrooms earn a per-seat share.
